Christi Pruitt - Group Facilitator

I’ve been married to my husband, David, for 16 years. We live in Castle Rock, Colorado, have two beautiful daughters and one dog.

I was raised in the Christian church but had an unstable childhood. In my teens and early 20’s I made poor decisions around alcohol, drugs and sex. David and I married a year after we had our first daughter, and shortly after our marriage, I found out about his first affair. We went to church for help but didn’t get the help and healing we needed. A few years later, I met Shelley at a women’s bible study. I shared a piece of my story with her, and she gave me a business card that I kept with my bible, but I didn’t use it until a year later when I found out about another affair.

Shortly after starting with Redemptive Living, I joined a wives support group that Shelley was facilitating. My group helped me process my pain with empathy and compassion. They helped me to find my voice and ask for what I needed. We are eight years into recovery. Redemptive Living has taught David and I what intimacy truly is. My heartbeat is to support other women via groups and my hope is that God will use my story to help restore the brokenhearted, just as my group did for me!
